MUNCIE (CNS) — Mrs. Ruth Muriel French, 71, of Lynwood, Caiif., formerly of Muncie, died at 6:50 p.m. Monday (Dec. 23, 1974) in St. Francis Hospital, Lynwood. A native of Veedersburg, Ind., she was born March 31, 1903, the daughter of Gilbert and Mabel Brown Lightle. She was married Aug. 23, 1924, at Veedersburg to Brent Lyle French, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Wilbur L. French of Baton Rouge, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Virginia) DeWeese of Springfield, Ill., and Mrs. Owena Raplee of Los Angeles, Calif.; and six grandchildren. Mrs. French was a member of the Muncie Baptist Church. The body is being returned to the Johnson Funeral Home at Oakwood. Arrangements are incomplete. --waw
